Die Natur- Ernährungs- und Gesundheitswissenschaften erweitern und vertiefen stetig unser Verständnis, wodurch Krankheiten hervorgerufen und wie sie therapiert werden können bzw. wie Gesundheit erhalten werden kann. Hohenheimer Wirtschaftswissenschaftler untersuchen dagegen die Zusammenhänge ökonomischer, politischer und soziodemografischer Entwicklungen und deren Einflüsse auf die von der Gesell­schaft zu tragende „Krankheitslast“, Gesundheitsleistungen sowie Gesundheits- und Versicherungssysteme.
