World Health Summit 2019  [20.10.19]

Leading experts from science, politics, business and from civil society will meet in Berlin from October 27 to 29. More than 2,500 participants from 100 countries are expected. One of the thematic focusses this year is also being researched at the University of Hohenheim: The impact of climate and socioeconomic change on health.

A press conference on this topic will be held at the World Health Summit on Monday, October 28th.

In addition, the program of the World Health Summit will address the improvement of health systems in Africa and worldwide, the fight against antibiotic resistance, the digitization of health care as well as the implementation of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs.

The World Health Summit in Berlin is one of the world's leading conferences on global health issues. It has been initiated at Charité Hospital in 2009 and now is under the auspices of Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
