Incentives for novel collaborations: Funding for Young Investigators and Networking

2021 Call needs to be postponed due to University budgetary restrictions

Aim:

Funding shall be dedicated to test initial hypotheses and establish prerequisites (max. 9 months) for interdisciplinary project funding applications and research consortia.
Projects shall address research questions of the SYSTEM HEALTH, e.g. all aspects of the food chain (healthy soils, plants and livestock; food processing and production; (patho)physiology of plants, animals and humans), but also drug research, diagnostic or therapeutic solutions, as well as socioeconomic research questions.

Focus:

In 2021 we seek innovative project ideas from Hohenheim Young Scientists that want to prepare for national or international research consortia/ interdisciplinary  projects.

Incentive:    up to 8,000 € for interdisciplinary studies involving different institutes (please detail the budget)
Application:

Please send your application (informal  letter, appr. 1 page) to the FZG Head Office.

Proposal structure:
•    name and short description of the project
•    persons/ institutes involved
•    estimated costs and duration of the project
•    ultimate goal/ horizon for future application/ research consortia/ funder
•    if applicable, references to relevant publication(s)
•    requests for application/ project support.

Evaluation:by FZG Steering Committee
Budget Allocation:

As soon as the Steering Committee has confirmed funding eligibility, all applicants will be informed and funds allocated to the successful departments.
